Women in Secularism Conference

Women in secularismFrom PK ATHEIST:

For those of you interested in traveling to Virginia for this conference (or perhaps checking to see if they will have it next year), I have included the url below. If you travel by car please note the warnings that someone in North Miss. has been impersonating law enforcement and has shot two people to death. The advice ABC radio news gave was if you see the lights that seem to be law enforcement, put your blinkers on and proceed to a safe and lighted area. I would think you would want to call the Miss. Highway Patrol from a cell phone and take the number with you if traveling. Per their web site it is (601) 987-1212. (I could not find the listing of what you dial from a cell phone, but trust you will take that with you.)

Join us on May 18-20, 2012, for the “Women in Secularism” conference, sponsored by the Center for Inquiry. This historic conference will discuss and celebrate the many contributions women have made to the secular movement, while critically examining both the successes and failures of secularism in addressing women’s concerns.
May 18–20, 2012

Crystal City Marriott
Reagan National Airport
Arlington, Virginia

I am sorry I won't be able to make this meeting or the one in Jackson but appreciated hearing about both and thought you might like to at least know about this one.
